In what could be termed as a shocking case of medical negligence, parents of a 5-month-old baby in Ahmedabad alleged that a nurse chopped off the thumb of their child. Hospital authorities have claimed that the child was suffering from pneumonia, when the nurse was removing bandage by mistake a part of her thumb was injured. Parents have registered an FIR with the police.
