One of the pioneers of Indian Technology, Azim Premji is all set to retire on July 30, 2019 as the Executive chairman of the company. He will turn 74 a week before would have led Wipro for 53 years, having taken over the company after his father’s death in 1966. Azim Premji’s son Rishad Premji will take over the reins from his father. Rishad is currently acting as the Chief Strategy officer and Board member in the company. Azim Premji’s philanthropic commitments are extraordinary.
