Budget 2022: FM Nirmala Sitharaman Proposes Digital University, One Class, One TV Channel I Highlights

On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2022. Sitharaman said PM Gati Shakti is a transformative approach for economic growth and sustainable development. Sitharaman made some key announcements for the education sector. These include the launch of Digital University and expanding ‘One class, One TV channel’ for supplementary education. Sitharaman assured income to farmers. The Finance Minister said a Rs 6,000 crore programme to rate MSMEs will be rolled out over the next five years. Sitharaman proposed to launch a new scheme PM Development Initiative for North East. Minister proposed to She proposed to set up 75 digital banking units in 75 districts across India by scheduled commercial banks.
