Delhi Air Pollution: Schools Shut Again, SC Demands Immediate Action

Schools in Delhi have been ordered to remain shut from December 3 till further orders. The decision was taken over the rising air pollution in the national capital. Gopal Rai, the state Environment Minister made the announcement. Manish Sisodia, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister tweeted, “All schools in Delhi will remain closed till further orders.” The Supreme Court gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the Centre, Delhi & neighboring states, warning of strict action. Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has been regularly tweeting about the air quality numbers. Earlier, schools were ordered to remain shut from November 13. They were reopened on December 1.
