Farmer Protest Comes To An End, Protesters To Start Going Back Home From Dec 11

On December 9, farmers of India decided to end their over one-year long protest. This comes as the Modi led central government accepted their remaining demands. The Centre has accepted their  demands which included a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP). The protesting farmers will return to their homes on Saturday, December 11. Samyukta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella body of farmer unions, will hold a review meeting in Delhi on December 15. Farmer leader Rakesk Tikait said, “The fight for farmers’ rights will continue.” social activist Yogendra Yadav, who supported the farmers’ protest since the beginning tweeted, “It's a green letter day today!” Watch the video to know more.
