Lucknow Super Giants beat Gujarat Titans by 33 runs in IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 22. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants posted a mammoth 235/2. Mitchell Marsh was the star of the show for Lucknow Super Giants as he struck his maiden IPL century (117 off 64 balls). Nicholas Pooran also roared back to form with a sensational 56* off just 27 deliveries. Mitchell Marsh first added 91 runs with Aiden Markram (36) and later joined forces with Nicholas Pooran, with whom he stitched a massive 121-run partnership. Rishabh Pant also came good with a quickfire 16* off six balls. In response, Gujarat Titans were restricted to 202/9 in 20 overs. Their top three--Shubman Gill (35), Sai Sudharsan (21) and Jos Buttler (33) fell within 10 overs and despite a magnificent fightback from Sherfane Rutherford (38) and Shahrukh Khan (57), Gujarat Titans ended up falling short by 33 runs. Will O'Rourke was the best bowler for Lucknow Super Giants as he picked up three wickets for just 27 runs in his four overs. Ayush Badoni (2/4), Avesh Khan (2/51), Akash Singh (1/29) and Shahbaz Ahmed (1/41) were also amongst the wickets.
