Haryana governmentĀ on September 6 ordered suspension of mobile internet servicesĀ till September 7 midnight in Karnal district. This comes in view of the call of Kisan Mahapanchayat to āmaintain law & orderā. Haryana government saidĀ mobile internet and SMS services will remain suspended in Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, and Panipat onĀ September 7Ā to curb the "spread of inflammatory material and rumours.āĀ The services will remain suspended from 12:30 pm on September 6 to September 7 midnight, as per an order of the Home Department. Reportedly, the suspension was ordered to stop the spread of misinformation & rumours through social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter on mobile phones & SMS.
