Kannada Actress Ranya Rao Arrested at Bengaluru Airport for Allegedly Smuggling Over 14kg of Gold From Dubai

Kannada actress Ranya Rao has been arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly smuggling 14.8kg of gold from Dubai. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence apprehended her at Kempegowda International Airport on March 3, 2025. Ranya Rao, known for her roles in films like ‘Maanikya’ and ‘Pataki’, was presented before a special court for financial offenses on March 4, where the judge ordered her to be placed in judicial custody until March 18.
