Kushinagar Tragedy: 13 Dead After Falling Into Well

On February 16 night, thirteen people, seven women and six girls, died at a wedding in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. They accidentally fell into a well. The women and the children were sitting on a slab which covered an old well. The slab collapsed under their weight and they all fell into the well. They were rushed to the hospital. 13 people were declared dead. District magistrate S Rajalingam announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to be paid to the family of each person killed in the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the incident as heart-wrenching. Watch the video to know more.
