Manipur: 17 Dead, Over 50 People Still Missing As Landslide Hits Tupul Yard Railway Station in Noney

Ten people which include seven Army soldiers have died after a landslide hit their camp in Manipur’s Noney district. A massive landslide hit the 107 Territorial Army (TA) camp in Noney district of Manipur early Thursday morning, officials said. Atleast 50 people, including 23 soldiers, railway officials and civilian labourers, are missing. Authorities said the search for missing personnel has continued through the hours since. Condolence messages have poured in from across the country from President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress’ Rahul Gandhi, CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury tweeting about the disaster.
