The shot-putter from Ambala has represented India at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships. Manpreet Kaur created history at the Asian Championships as she won a gold medal with an 18.86m throw. After her performance at the competition, she achieved the No. 1 World Ranking. The Olympian was the only Indian woman to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics in her field.
