The duo powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a strong total of 221/5. Defending it, Yash Dayal and Josh Hazlewood started strong dismissing Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav. Just when the game was looking out of hand for Mumbai Indians, Tilak Varma (56) and Hardik Pandya (42) combined in the middle and some clean ball-striking from them brought Mumbai Indians back into the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/48), Hazlewood (2/37) and Krunal Pandya (4/45) bowled the last three overs and they restricted Mumbai Indians. This is Royal Challengers Bengaluru's third win of the season and Mumbai Indians' fourth defeat.
