Heavy security has been deployed at Mumbai-Pune Expressway at Lonavala. Security forces have been deployed at both the entry and exit points. As reported by ANI, Rapid Action Force and bomb disposal squads have also been deployed. Reportedly, Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange and his supporters wanted to enter Mumbai via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway; however, the police allowed them to take the Old Pune-Mumbai highway.
