Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced 11 Measures For Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries And Beekeeping Under the Third tranche of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat Economic Package. She announced ₹1 lakh crore fund to be provided for strengthening farm-gate infrastructure, ₹10,000 crore for micro food enterprises, ₹20,000 under Pradhan Mantri Matsya-sampada Yojana for the fisheries sector, ₹13,343 crore for vaccination of animals against Foot-and-mouth disease. The Finance Minister also announced administrative measures such as amending the Essential Commodities Act to enable better price realisation for the agri-cultivators and a Agricultural Produce Price Support Programme.
