Prashant Kishor, political strategist and JD(U) leader had a nuanced response to Union Minister of Urban Development Hardeep Puri’s swipe that he did not know Kishor. Kishor said, “He is a senior minister and why will he know an ordinary man like me?” “In Delhi, lakhs of people like me from Uttar Pradesh-Bihar live and struggle, how will such a senior leader like Hardeep Singh Puri know so many people?,” he added. Puri was heard saying on December 28, with reference to Kishor, “I don't know him. There's a chap who used to work in UN, then he joined one party, then another party, then another party,” when asked about Aam Admi Party roping in Kishor’s I-PAC for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections. Puri’s comment comes despite the fact that Prashant Kishor is largely credited with being the brainchild behind BJP’s “Chai pe charcha” campaign for the 2014 general elections.
