The viral clip shows the singer repeatedly thrashing the man and asking about some ‘bottle’. The man can be seen pleading as Khan continues to hit him. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan later issued a clarification about the incident. In the clarification video, Khan said that it was a personal matter between an "ustad and his shagird (teacher and his student)". Khan shared a video with the man (student) and his father. In the clarification video, the student admitted that he had misplaced a bottle containing holy water.
