Remembering Udham Singh on 79th Death Anniversary: The Man Who Avenged Jallianwala Bagh Massacre

Freedom fighters are immortal, and Shaheed Udham Singh is one such pre-independent figure. Shaheed Udham Singh was the one who killed former Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab Michael O’Dwyer on March 13, 1940. Singh assassinated O’Dwyer to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Udham Singh was hanged on July 31 in 1940.
