Aiden Markram struck a superb century (102*) while Temba Bavuma hit an unbeaten 65 as South Africa inched closer to a historic win, on Day 3 of the SA vs AUS ICC WTC 2025 final on Friday, June 13. Chasing 282 runs to win, both the right-handers played some superb shots and also rotated the strike consistently to put South Africa on the cusp of winning the ICC World Test Championship title for the first time. Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma shared an unbeaten 143-run partnership and the Proteas need just 69 runs to win the WTC 2025 title. It has to be mentioned that Temba Bavuma battled through a hamstring strain and showed grit as he fought it out hard in the middle. For Australia, Mitchell Starc was the best bowler on Day 3 as he took both the wickets. Earlier in the day, Australia frustrated South Africa with Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood batting the first session and extending the lead to 281 runs.
