SpiceJet Woman Employee Arrested for Slapping CISF Man at Jaipur Airport; Airline Alleges She Was Sexually Harassed

On July 11, a SpiceJet staff member was arrested after she allegedly slapped a CISF man at the Jaipur airport. Reportedly, the staff member slapped CISF Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad. However, the airline called it a "serious case of sexual harassment.” CCTV video of the incident has gone viral. The clip shows the CISF officer speaking to the woman. Then, suddenly the woman moves o steps towards him and slaps the officer on his face. The police have filed a case of assault against Anuradha Rani on the basis of a complaint by Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad, reported PTI. The airline, too, has approached the local police and said it is taking immediate legal action. SpiceJet, in a statement, said that their employee was subject to inappropriate language and the CISF man even asked her to "come and meet him after his duty hours at his home,” reported PTI.
