A grinding partnership followed next with Heinrich Klaasen (27) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (31) putting up some resistance but they were both dismissed by Sai Kishore (2/24). After that wickets kept tumbling for Sunrisers Hyderabad and they were suffocated by the end of the 19th over. In the last over, Pat Cummins (22*) and Mohammed Shami got hold of Ishant Sharma (0/53) and pushed Gujarat Titans, posting a competitive 152/8. Chasing it, Gujarat Titans suffered a double blow as Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler were dismissed by Mohammed Shami (2/28) and Pat Cummins (1/26) respectively. Washington Sundar (49) was promoted and he played a fantastic knock. With Sundar and Sherfane Rutherford (35*) by his side, Shubman Gill (61*) took Gujarat Titans over the finishing line. This was Gujarat Titans' third consecutive win in IPL 2025 while for Sunrisers Hyderabad, it was a fourth straight defeat.
