SRH vs RR IPL 2025 Stat Highlights: Ishan Kishan’s Century Powers Sunrisers Hyderabad to Comfortable Win in Tournament Opener

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals in the second match of IPL 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on March 23.  SRH started where they left off last season with Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan launching an assault on the RR bowlers . Later, the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy joined in as well to power SRH to the second highest total of IPL history. Ishan Kishan carried on and scored a century, helping SRH to get to 286/6. Chasing it, Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel played two brilliant knocks and received support from Shimron Hetmyer and Shubham Dubey but it was not enough as they fell short by 44 runs. Ishan Kishan was adjudged Man of the Match for his splendid show with the bat. He scored his maiden century in IPL in just 45 balls and celebrated with passion. With the win, Pat Cummins and SRH have kickstarted their IPL 2025 journey with a win and registered their first points on the table.
