Sushma Swaraj 68th Birth Anniversary: Government Renames Two Institutes After The BJP Veteran

Sushma Swaraj 68th Birth Anniversary: February 14, 2020, marks the 68th birth anniversary of veteran politician Sushma Swaraj. A former External Affairs Minister and BJP leader, was born on February 14, 1952. Swaraj died on August 6, 2019 after a cardiac arrest. A lawyer by profession, Swaraj entered politics in 1973 when she won the Ambala Cantonment assembly seat in Haryana. Swaraj was a four-time member of Lok Sabha and three-time of Rajya Sabha. Swaraj was the recipient of the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award and was known as people's minister. On February 13, government of India named two institutions after Sushma Swaraj.
