Sydney Floods For Fourth Time in 16 Months, Over 50,000 Residents Evacuated

Australia’s largest city is under floods. The New South Wales government has declared 23 areas as natural disaster zones, and evacuation orders have been handed out to more than 50,000 residents. The city is witnessing its fourth flood in 16 months, the latest one caused by torrential rains. Experts say that Australia is at the forefront of climate change with residents witnessing extreme weather events more frequently – from wildfires to floods.
