The revised guidelines issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) came into effect from December 16. The attempt is to make the porting process fast & simpler. The revised process comes with conditions for generation of Unique porting Code (UPC). The biggest change surely must be that according to the new rules, a number must be ported completely within 3-5 working days, as against almost 15 days that was common earlier. Three working days would be required for porting within a service area. And five working days would be required for requests to port from one circle to another. Watch the video to find out more.
