Monsoon season has started and due to heavy rain, landslides in the mountain areas have made lives of locals more difficult. The motorable roads are blocked with heavy rocks. The road from Madkot to Munsyari has been damaged due to the landslides. The landslides in NH 309(A) hampered the road connectivity to Goripur area of Munsyari in Pithoragarh district. Students from Bothi villages are crossing the landslide-affected roads with risks as the road. The landslide has also affected route to reach college in Uchhaiti.
