In a deeply disturbing incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a 48-year-old French national has been charged with s*xual assault after allegedly groping a sleeping fellow passenger aboard a first-class cabin on a transatlantic flight from Zurich to Miami. Guillaume Sebastien Roger Mattler has been charged with abusive s*xual contact in connection with the alleged incident that took place on Swiss International Air Lines Flight LX64 on April 28, according to a federal criminal complaint filed in the Southern District of Florida.

According to investigators, Mattler and the 29-year-old victim, who were complete strangers, were seated next to each other in the first-class cabin when the incident occurred. The woman had fallen asleep during the flight when two nearby passengers noticed Mattler allegedly touching her without her consent. One witness recorded videos of the incident and immediately alerted a flight attendant. An FBI Special Agent noted in the complaint that a witness observed Mattler moving his hand in a submarine motion, as if attempting to get his hand under the victim's clothing and between her legs. When the crew member intervened, they allegedly witnessed Mattler with his hand on the woman's crotch over her clothing, making a rubbing motion. He was immediately separated from the victim and moved to another section of the aircraft. Online S*xual Violence Networks Exposed: Investigation Uncovers Global ’Rape Academy’ Communities Fueling Drug-Facilitated S*x Assault.

When the woman was woken up and informed of the s*xual assault, she appeared visibly shocked and began shaking and crying. In a chilling and audacious move that has further outraged the public, Mattler allegedly attempted to hand the victim a note reading "You look beautiful when you are sleeping," written on his business card along with flight information and his seat number. He was unable to confirm to crew members whether he even knew the woman he had allegedly assaulted. Bengaluru Horror: Man Lures Teen, S*xually Assaults and Abandons Her After Impregnating; Arrested.

Following the flight, Mattler initially denied all allegations during questioning by authorities. However, he later admitted to touching the woman after being confronted with eyewitness accounts and video evidence captured during the flight. In a shocking display of dismissiveness, he reportedly told authorities that he "did not think it was such a big deal" and claimed his intention had merely been to exchange contact details with the sleeping woman. He further stated that he "touched whatever he could reach from across the armrest," according to the federal complaint.

The brazen nature of the alleged s*xual assault, combined with Mattler's attempt to leave a note for the victim and his casual admission to authorities, has drawn intense public anger and condemnation. As of May 3, Guillaume Sebastien Roger Mattler remains in custody at the Federal Detention Center in Miami, according to prison records, as authorities continue their investigation into the deeply troubling in-flight sxual assault case.
