New Delhi, Mar 12 (PTI) A 43-year-old man was arrested from Kirti Nagar for allegedly supplying illicit liquor, police said Tuesday.

The accused was identified as Kailash, a resident of Rohtak district in Haryana, they said.

Based on a tip-off, a trap was laid and the accused was arrested at 11.45 pm on Monday.

One car and 57 cartons of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession, police said. PTI NIT

2 arrested for supplying illegal arms

New Delhi, Mar 12 (PTI) The Delhi Police has arrested two people for allegedly supplying illegal arms in the national capital, police said Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Pawan and Mahesh.

According to police, Mahesh was also wanted in a murder case registered at the Seema Puri police station.

On Friday, police got a tip-off that the two accused persons would come near the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal to deliver a consignment of illegal weapons to a local conduit of a gangster, a senior police officer said.

A trap was laid and Mahesh and Pawan were apprehended at 11 am.

Seven country-made pistols and 15 live cartridges were recovered from their possession, police said. PTI NIT *********************

Six nabbed for stealing valuables from electronics showroom in Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 12 (PTI) Six men were arrested for allegedly robbing an electronics showroom in Swarop Nagar area here, police said Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Ravi, Ramesh Rai, Suresh Kumar, Daya Singh, Babu Pal and Mohammad Faiyaj, they said.

Based on a complaint lodged by a supervisor at the Balaji Mega Mall, an investigation was taken up.

The CCTV footage of the area was analysed and on Sunday, the six men were arrested from near the Siraspur railway road.

One tempo, a motorcycle, 15 LED TVs, a microwave, two sewing machines, 47 ceiling fans, four pressure cookers and three juicers were seized, police added.
