New Delhi, July 31 (PTI) In a suspected case of gang rivalry, a 46-year-old property dealer was allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants in front of an apartment in northwest Delhi today, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Surya Prakash, an accused in murder and extortion cases. The incident occurred at around 5.30 pm in Ashok Vihar. Prakash was was taken to a private hospital where he succumbed to injuries, a police officer said.

It is suspected to be a case of gang rivalry, the officer said, adding that investigations were underway.
