Alluri Sitharama Raju (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 26 (ANI): Four people were arrested while illegally transporting ganja in a van from Orissa to Andhra and 900 kg of ganja valued at Rs 2 crores was seized by Alluri Sitharama Raju district police officials on Saturday.

Four cell phones and one van was seized by the police officials. Three accused managed to escape.

ASP Pratap Siva Kishore said, "Four people in the van were detained and interrogated and four cell phones were seized from them and the van was also seized."

According to information received by the Seeleru police, they were arrested at Darakonda while illegally transporting ganja in a van from Odisha to Andhra Pradesh.

ASP Kishore further said, "Three absconders will be caught and arrested soon."

Later, he congratulated the police personnel who participated in the ganja operation and handed over certificates of appreciation. (ANI)
