Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], September 14 (ANI): At least 10 people have been missing after a boat overturned in Muzaffarpur's Bagmati River in Bihar, said an official on Thursday. 

Meanwhile, 15-20 people were rescued so far, the official added.

"There is information of 10 persons missing, 15-20 persons rescued so far. Search operation underway," said Ajay Kumar, Disaster Management officer, Muzaffarpur while speaking to the reporters. 

"The incident took place between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. today. Teams of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) and SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) rushed to the accident site", added Kumar.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the affected families would be provided assistance. 

"The District Magistrate of Muzaffarpur is investigating the incident. The families of those affected in this accident will be provided assistance by the government," said CM Kumar while speaking to the reporters.
