Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], September 5 (ANI): Former Haryana Minister Karan Dev Kamboj, who held the post of state BJP OBC Morcha chief, announced his resignation from all the posts of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday and said there has been injustice with workers in the distribution of tickets.

Kamboj expressed dissatisfaction with the party's decision, apparently about Indri constituency.

"My family and I have been part of the BJP since the time of Jan Sangh. I have worked with a lot of dedication. Now Congress culture has come into the BJP as well...Yesterday, a few people who created so much trouble were made to join the BJP and were given tickets...I worked for 5 years and made the maximum OBC community join the BJP...This is cheating on the rest of the party workers. We will object to this," Kamboj told ANI.

On the BJP's prospects to form the government for the third time in Haryana, he said, "Congress will form the government here and the BJP's dream will remain a dream..."

The development is being seen as a setback for the BJP for its preparations for the assembly polls.

The BJP has fielded Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini from Ladwa and former state home minister Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt. Other prominent leaders in the first list are Gian Chand Gupta, Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Sunita Duggal, Bhavya Bishnoi, and Tejpal Tanwar. Gian Chand Gupta will contest from Panchkula, Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhri, Sunita Duggal from Ratia, Bhavya Bishnoi from Adampur, and Tejpal Tanwar from Sohna.

Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. Votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)
