Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 6 (ANI): Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mangubhai Patel and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath paid tribute to the late Poonamchand Yadav, father of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, at CM House in Bhopal on Friday.

Governor Patel and Nath reached Samtva Bhavan at CM House, expressed condolences and offered floral tribute to the picture of the late Poonamchand Yadav. Both of them also consoled CM Yadav on the occasion.

In a post on X, the Governor's office wrote, "Governor Mangubhai Patel reached the Chief Minister's residence today to express condolences on the demise of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's father. Governor Patel paid a floral tribute to the picture of CM's father, Late Poonamchand Yadav."

On the other hand, former CM Nath also posted on X, "In this hour of grief over the demise of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's father, I reached the Chief Minister's residence and expressed my condolences. The death of a father is a matter of great sorrow for the son. May God give him the strength to bear this sorrow. Om Shanti!"

CM Yadav's father, Poonamchand Yadav, passed away on Tuesday (September 3) due to prolonged illness at his residence in Ujjain district. The following day, scores of people flocked to CM Yadav's residence in Ujjain and paid tribute to him.

The last rites were performed near the Bhukhi Mata temple on the banks of the Shipra river in Ujjain on Wednesday, September 4. (ANI)
