Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], August 7 (ANI): Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar inaugurated the Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Mega Campaign organised by the district administration on the premises of the Women's Polytechnic College in Jodhpur.
The tree plantation campaign, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," began across Rajasthan on Wednesday under the 'Harialo Rajasthan' initiative.
While speaking to the media, Education Minister Madan Dilawar urged everyone to engage in dense tree plantations in their respective areas. He mentioned that appeals have been made to everyone, from saints and schools to panchayats, to participate in this campaign. Today, dense tree plantations are being carried out across the state as part of this initiative.
He emphasised that Mother Earth is in crisis and planting trees is essential to saving her. He also pointed out that the temperature is continuously rising and the only way to reduce it is through tree plantations. He requested journalists support this mega campaign by planting trees themselves.

When asked about the heavy rainfall in Western Rajasthan, the Education Minister avoided the question and moved on. The Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Mega Campaign was organised by the district administration and attended by prominent city figures, district administration officials, and Bharatiya Janata Party members and workers. During the event, the Education Minister initiated the campaign by planting trees on the premises of the Women's Polytechnic College.
Addressing the people on the occasion, Madan Dilawar said, "We will plant trees every year so that we can stay healthy. We will create a tradition of planting trees so that the people of our society, state, and country can stay healthy.
"I request everyone to plant more and more trees every year and try to increase the number. We will send a message to the whole world that when the country and the world are in danger, the people of Rajasthan will come forward and take the initiative," the Education Minister said. (ANI)
