Agartala (Tripura) [India], October 1 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday paid tribute to the legendary music director, Sachin Dev Burman, also known as S.D. Burman marking his 117th birth anniversary at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala.

SD Burman is known for his timeless and classic music compositions. He began his career composing music for Bengali films and went on to become one of Hindi cinema's most successful and renowned soundtrack composers.

During his career, he composed music for over 100 films.

Burman was born on 1 October 1906 in Comilla, Tripura. He was a composer, known for various songs such as 'Jaane Wo Kaise Log The Jinke' from the movie 'Pyaasa', 'Chhod Do Aanchal' from the movie 'Paying Guest', 'Hai Apna Dil To Aawara' from ''Solva Saal' movie.
