Purba Medinipur (West Bengal) [India], May 18 (ANI): A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Friday reached Moyna, Purba Medinipur to investigate the murder case of BJP booth president Vijay Krishna Bhuiyan.

In May 2023, Bhuiyan was kidnapped and murdered. The family members filed a written complaint at Maina police station and then the family approached the Kolkata High Court, demanding an NIA probe.

Meanwhile, elections have already been held in 18 out of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal in four phases. Polling in the remaining 24 seats would be held in three more phases.

Elections have been conducted in 18 out of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal over four phases. The remaining 24 seats will go to the polls in the next three phases on May 20, May 25 and June 1.
