Singapore, Mar 10 (ANI): Japan on Sunday held a panel discussion in Singapore to discuss ways to prevent disasters.The noted Japanese Professor Shunichi Koshimura and Riki Kitagawa also took part in the event to share their views on“Threats vs Technology: Building resilient nations and business"."Based on the advance sensing networks, and also the estimation of computing technology. I think that makes is possible to prevent more effectively on disaster. Breakthrough is made based on the acceleration of the computer system. What we are doing is to support enhancing the disaster resilience with using modern computer power," said Dr Shunichi Koshimura, who leads the tsunami prediction team at Tohoku University.Speaking at the event, Professor Riki Kitagawa said, "We are developing a water supply system with distributed storage batteries. I proposed it to be able to use it in the place where there was no water and outage. In the world, the impact of climate change could increase disaster.
