John Lennon's Murderer Denied Parole for the 10th Time
The man, who shot British singer John Lennon, also the co-founder of 'Beatles' band, will not be getting out of prison anytime soon as his parole has been denied for the 10th time.
Washington DC, [USA] Aug 24 (ANI): The man, who shot British singer John Lennon, also the co-founder of 'Beatles' band, will not be getting out of prison anytime soon as his parole has been denied for the 10th time.
Mark David Chapman, the murderer, on Thursday had gone before a parole board in a New York court, but to his dismay, the board decided that for two years he would be unable to request for a temporary release, reported TMZ.
The board in a statement said that Chapman is the one who had planned the murder of the world famous singer for no reason but to only gain notoriety.
They further blamed Chapman for the suffering he caused Lennon's family and his friends to go through and also added that the murderer on top of it demonstrated an extreme disregard for the value a human life holds.
Chapman has been serving a jail term of 20 years to life after he pleaded guilty to the 2nd-degree murder of Lennon inside his Manhattan apartment in 1980.
Since December 2000, the murderer has been denied parole nine times.(ANI)
