Mumbai, Jul 22 (PTI) Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN), the self-regulatory organization (SRO) for the microfinance industry, on Wednesday announced that Alok Misra will be taking over as its chief executive officer and director from August 1, 2020.
Misra is currently professor and chairperson of public policy and governance at MDI Gurgaon. He will take over from the present CEO, Harsh Shrivastava, who has decided to move on after over two years at MFIN, a release said.

State-run Bank of Baroda said it has launched a paperless digital self-assisted online savings account for all its customers.
The Insta Click Savings Account uses digital KYC and Aadhar based OTP authentication of the customer, which can be operated from the bank's website, through mobile phone, IPad, laptops, and personal computers, a release said.
“We are working on digitisation of all our processes and intend to be 100 per cent paperless by 2023. The only way to ensure our customers can have a safe and secure banking experience without having the need to step out of their homes is with adoption of digital products and services,” the bank's managing director and CEO Sanjiv Chadha said.

New Delhi: To mark its four decades of its operations in India, German lender Deutsche Bank on Wednesday announced a CSR initiative to plant 40,000 fruit-bearing trees in Raigad district of Maharashtra, impacting lives of 4,000 people living out there.
The trees, which will begin bearing fruit in 3-4 years, are expected to generate an annual income of Rs 6 crore for the beneficiaries, the bank said in a statement.
The tree planting initiative will be implemented through NGO partner Swades Foundation.
"The initiative marks 40 years since Deutsche Bank opened its first branch in the country in Mumbai and also four years of a successful partnership with Swades Foundation in helping transform the lives of tribal and other indigent families in Raigad district," the bank said.
