Uttarkashi, Jul 11 (PTI) A woman died after she was crushed by a falling rock and debris from a hill here on Friday, police said.

Barkot police station chief Deepak Kathayat said the incident occurred at around 10 am when Lajja Devi (57), a resident of Tunalka village, went to collect grass from the nearby forest, police said.

Stones and debris started falling from the hill and crushed Lajja Devi. She died on the spot, they added.
