Man Kills Minor Daughters, Self over Wife's Affair
Depressed since his wife left him for her lover, a 35-year-old man from Chandrapur in Maharashtra allegedly killed his two minor daughters before committing suicide in the wee hours Tuesday, police said.
Mumbai, Apr 2 (PTI) Depressed since his wife left him for her lover, a 35-year-old man from Chandrapur in Maharashtra allegedly killed his two minor daughters before committing suicide in the wee hours Tuesday, police said.
In the incident occurred in Kannamwar ward in Ballarshah town, Rushikant Kadupale smothered his six-year-old daughter Narayani and 17-months-old Kartiki, before hanging himself with a piece of cloth at his house, a police official said.
He was working as an instructor with an industrial training institute (ITI) in Chandrapur, nearly 46 km away from Ballarshah.
Kadupale has been upset since the last few days after his wife dumped him for her boyfriend, the official said.
Police were alerted about the incident by the neighbours of Kadupale.
A case of murder has been registered against the deceased, his wife and her boyfriend.
Separately, the woman and her lover have been booked for abetting suicide, the official added.
