New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on Wednesday released a draft of broadcasting and cable services interconnection regulations amendment.
Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Interconnection (Addressable Systems) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019, was issued by TRAI and comments were sought from all the stakeholders.
During the consultation undertaken to prepare the audit manual, certain comments and observations reflected some issues in the Schedule III of the Interconnection Regulations 2017, the TRAI said in a statement.
Accordingly, a draft regulation related to amendment to schedule-III has been issued on issues of digital rights management systems, transactional capacity of CAS and SMS system, support for overt and covert fingerprinting in STBs (set top boxes), and watermarking network logo for all pay channels.
Written comments on the draft regulation have been invited from the stakeholders by September 9, the statement said.
