Mumbai, Jul 10 (PTI) Favourite Urwashi Joshi of Maharashtra made short work of her statemate Avani Nagar to enter the womens semifinals of the GSC-All India Squash Open here Wednesday.

Urwashi was through with a 11-2,11-6, 11-3 win at the suburban Goregoan Sports Club.

Prapti Salunkhe and Navmi Sharma, both of Maharashtra, also made it to the semi-finals in the women's category.

In the men's section, Maharashtra's Rohit Kadam continued his fine run when he beat Jamal Sakib of Services 7 -11, 11-7, 11-7, 6-11, 13-11 in a tensely fought men's quarter-final tie.

Second-seeded Abhishek Agarwal of Maharashtra dropped the first game before overcoming statemate Rutvik Rau 12-14, 11-2, 11-3, 11-3.

Top seed Abhishek Pradhan of Maharashtra was through with a straight games win over Services player Mahul Kumar.

Pradhan won 11-7, 11-2, 11-6.
