Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak is all set for a theatrical release in India on January 10. After delivering two acclaimed hits Talvar (2015) and Raazi (2018), Meghna Gulzar explores yet another realistic subject of acid-attack cases in India with Chhapaak and critics might love this one as well, just like her previous two outings. "Chhapaak is a story that deserves to be told and highlights a cause that needs to be heard. Deepika Padukone is in fine form, and the supporting cast also sparkles. If the storytelling and pacing had been stronger, then Chhapaak could have made a bigger splash," our in-house film critic Sreeju Sudhakaran wrote in his review, where he gave the movie two and a half stars out five.
