Apple Hiring in India: iPhone-Maker Looking for Retail Managers in Hyderabad, Posts Several Job Listings
Apple has commenced hiring for retail roles in Hyderabad, indicating a new store launch. This follows recent openings in Bengaluru and Noida. Driven by the iPhone 16 series, Apple now holds a record 28 per cent value share in India as the company continues to expand its physical retail footprint nationwide.
Mumbai, February 6: Apple has posted several job listings for retail positions in Hyderabad, suggesting that the technology giant is preparing to establish a permanent physical presence in the city. The recruitment drive includes roles for store managers, technical specialists, and business experts, mirroring the hiring patterns seen before previous store openings in other Indian metropolitan hubs.
The job notifications, published on Apple’s official careers portal, seek candidates for various full-time and part-time roles, including operations experts and retail managers. While Apple has not officially confirmed the specific location or opening date for a Hyderabad outlet, the scale of the recruitment suggests a significant investment in the region's retail infrastructure. Apple Strategic Expansion Across India
Apple has been rapidly expanding its direct-to-consumer footprint across the country to capitalize on growing demand. Following the successful launch of its flagship stores, Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi in 2023, the company recently extended its reach to Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida.
The Noida outlet marks the fifth official retail store in India. Vanessa Trigub, Apple’s Vice President of Stores and Retail Operations, recently noted the "incredible energy" surrounding new openings and confirmed that another store is scheduled to open in Mumbai in 2027.
Apple Dominance in Market Value Share
The retail push coincides with Apple achieving its highest-ever value share in the Indian smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research, the company now commands a 28 per cent value share, a significant jump from 23 per cent in 2024. This growth is largely attributed to the "premiumisation" trend, where Indian consumers are increasingly opting for high-end devices.
The iPhone 16 series has been a primary driver of this financial success. Aggressive financing schemes, monthly installment plans, and trade-in offers have made the premium handsets more accessible to a broader segment of the Indian middle class, further solidifying Apple’s position in the world's second-largest smartphone market.
Apple Future Outlook in India
Hyderabad has long been a strategic hub for Apple, housing a major technology development centre focused on Maps and software services. A retail store in the city would serve as a logical extension of its existing corporate presence, providing local customers with direct access to the Apple ecosystem and support services.
