A local businessman was killed on Thursday afternoon following a targeted shooting in the bustling Arada Bazar market area of Baleshwar district. The victim, identified as Sheikh Hamid, a resident of nearby Remuna, died on the spot after assailants fired approximately ten rounds at him in broad daylight. According to senior police officials, the incident took place between 3:00 PM and 3:15 PM, triggering immediate panic among shoppers and local vendors. Preliminary investigations reveal that two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle and used two separate firearms to execute the attack.
