A 23-year-old delivery agent has been arrested in Bengaluru following a series of incidents involving the theft of undergarments at an apartment complex in Indiranagar. The suspect, identified as Abdul Hussain - also known as Saddam - was apprehended after two women captured him on a hidden camera trespassing into their property.

The incident came to light after two women, who share a ground-floor flat in Hoysalanagar, reported that their laundry began disappearing from the building compound starting in May 2026. The situation was noted for its unusual pattern: stolen items would occasionally reappear, only for a fresh set of garments to go missing the following day. Frustrated by the ongoing intrusion, the residents decided to investigate the matter themselves. "We searched online and bought one for around INR 1,300," the 29-year-old complainant stated, referring to a hidden camera they purchased to monitor the drying area.
Evidence Leads to Arrest
The residents positioned the camera to face the laundry area and monitored the footage throughout the night of July 1. The recording allegedly captured Hussain entering the compound at approximately 3 AM. According to the residents, the footage showed Hussain returning previously stolen items before taking fresh garments. The video also reportedly showed him engaging in s*xually explicit acts while on the premises. The residents subsequently provided this footage to the local police, who formed a team and tracked down the suspect. Legal Status of the Case
Following his arrest, Hussain was remanded in judicial custody. Local authorities have confirmed that the suspect, who is a native of Assam and works for an e-commerce company, has since been granted bail.
