Mumbai's suburban railway network will undergo mega blocks on Sunday, May 24, 2026, impacting the Central and Harbour Lines. These blocks are scheduled for essential track, signalling and overhead equipment maintenance.

Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and expect diversions, delays and service suspensions across affected sections.

Central Line

A mega block will be operated on the Matunga - Mulund Up and Down Slow Lines from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm.

  • DOWN slow line services departing CSMT Mumbai from 10:14 hrs to 15:32 hrs will be diverted on the DOWN fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations, halting at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations, and further re-diverted on the DOWN slow line at Mulund station. Trains will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
  • UP slow line services departing Thane from 11:07 hrs to 15:51 hrs will be diverted on the UP fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations, halting at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations, and further re-diverted on the UP slow line at Matunga station. Trains will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
  • During the block period, trains will not halt at Vidyavihar, Kanjur Marg and Nahur stations on both Up and Down lines.
  • All Up and Down line services leaving or arriving at CSMT between 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

Harbour Line

  • UP Harbour line services for CSMT leaving Panvel, Belapur and Vashi from 9:53 hrs to 15:20 hrs will remain suspended.
  • UP Harbour line services for CSMT leaving Goregaon and Bandra from 10:45 hrs to 17:13 hrs will remain suspended.

Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla at a frequency of 20 minutes during the block period.

Harbour Line passengers are permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway from 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs during the block period.

Transharbour Line

No mega block has been announced. All services will run normally.

Uran Line

No mega block has been announced. Services will remain unaffected.

Western Line

No mega block has been announced. All services will run normally.
