Jammu And Kashmir: Indian Army Kills One Terrorist in Pulwana, Encounter Underway
The security forces have cordoned the area, and the Pulwama administration has suspended the mobile internet services.
Pulwama, December 28: In a gun battle between the security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of South Kashmir, Indian Army have gunned down a terrorist on Friday. The area has been cordoned, and firing is underway between the two sides.
The administration has suspended the mobile internet services and is also conducting the neighbouring areas of Renzipora of Pulwama. According to the police sources, the search operation turned into an encounter after militants fired upon the search party of the force. Though the troops retaliated, it is yet to be confirmed how many terrorists are hiding at the spot. Encounter Breaks out in J&K's Pulwama.
Earlier on December 22, security forces killed six militants in an encounter at Arampora village in Awantipora area in Pulwama district this morning following specific intelligence input about the presence of militants there.
In the previous encounter in the same district on December 15, seven civilians were killed after the clash between Indian Army and civilians that broke out following an operation. Before that, the Indian Army had killed three Hizbul Mujahideen militants, and a soldier was also martyred in operation.
