Jammu and Kashmir: Shopkeeper Shot Dead in Srinagar's Parimpora Area by Suspected Terrorists

Srinagar, August 29: Despite heavy security in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370, a shopkeeper in Parimpora area on the outskirts of Srinagar was shot dead on Thursday. The shopkeeper who was gunned down was a senior citizen and was reportedly in his sixties. After getting shot, the man was taken to the police hospital, reported NDTV. Recently, a person died after his truck was pelted with stones in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, the Jammu and Kashmir police said on Monday. The deceased was identified as Noor Mohammed, a resident of Zradipora Urnhall. A case was registered at the Bijbehara police station. An alleged stone pelter, whose identity hasn't been revealed, was also arrested.
