Jammu And Kashmir: Three Arrested For Masquerading as Terrorists, Looting People; Toy Pistols, Dummy AK-47s Seized

Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday informed that they have arrested three people who pretended to be terrorists and looted people. The police have seized their toy pistols and dummy AK-47 from their possessions and are investigating the matter.

Srinagar, December 28: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday informed that they have arrested three people who pretended to be terrorists and looted people. The police have seized their toy pistols and dummy AK-47 from their possessions and are investigating the matter.

According to reports, published in the news agency ANI, the police arrested the three people days after several complaints were lodged and seized their dummy weapons. Sources reveal that in order to nab the miscreants, police have formed a team and were keeping a tight vigil on the activities of the miscreants. Informing more, SSP Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughal said, as the news agency quotes, "Accused pretended to be militants and looted truck drivers on gunpoint. Further probe underway." Earlier on Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) informed that they have decided to withdraw 72 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) from Jammu and Kashmir, which were deployed in the Valley post abrogation of Article 370. The MHA said that the Centre would withdraw 24 companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and 12 companies of Border Security Forces (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashtra Seema Bal (SSB) each.
